Top 5 Business Apps Performance in Costa Rica, Q4 2021

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 business apps in Costa Rica showed varied performance in terms of downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower:

Zoom Workplace experienced a slight increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2 in the final week of December. Weekly downloads displayed a declining trend, starting at 10.7K in late September and dropping to 2.5K by the end of December. Similarly, the weekly active users saw a significant decline from 115K to around 35K during the same period.

Microsoft Teams maintained a consistent presence with no revenue reported throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads decreased from 15.6K at the start of the quarter to 2.8K by the end. The app’s weekly active users also dropped from 319K to approximately 208K over the quarter.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a peak of 2.7K in mid-December and ending the quarter at 1.7K. The app’s weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 26K to 29K range throughout the quarter.

Google Meet (original) did not generate any revenue during the quarter. Weekly downloads decreased from 3K at the start of the quarter to 819 by the end. The weekly active users also showed a downward trend, starting from 49K in late September and falling to around 32K by the end of December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver reported no revenue during Q4 2021. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 1.7K and ending at 1.5K. The app’s weekly active users hovered around the 18K to 19K mark throughout the quarter.
